The land on which the Gold Coast Dharma Realm is located was formerly an orchid nursery and has been built gradually since 1995 when it was donated to the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association. The first phase of construction began in 2021 with the construction of the main hall of the 楞严圣寺, which was completed the following year. This was followed by the construction of a 連接舊齋堂和大殿的迴廊. The second phase began in 2020 with the construction of the front and back gates, the mountain gate, the new study hall, the circulation office, the corridor and the Vajra Stupa, and was completed in 2022. The third phase is currently being planned and will include the 观音殿.
