The Gold Coast Dharma Realm(GCDR) is the Australian branch of the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association founded by Venerable Master Hsuan Hua and is located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

GCDR adheres to Shakyamuni Buddha’s teachings. Learning the five schools of Chan, Purity, Esotericism, Vinaya, and Teaching. Strives to engage in the education, sutra translation, Dharma propagation, and religious unity that Venerable Master Hsuan Hua was dedicated to.

GCDR is also home to Shurangama Monastery and provides a space for Buddhist education and spiritual practice. We invite visitors to join us on Saturday for meditation class (From Feb to May 2025), sutra or mantra recitation/chanting sessions. Kid’s class on Sunday. Also, we have a bookshop with Buddhist Texts in Chinese and English, educational children’s books, and gifts to explore, as well as an extensive collection of English-translated Sutra texts and commentary by Verenable Master Hsuan Hua in our library.
